Hi there! We're Amy and Shreya, and we're the JCR's Doctor WHOs (Welfare and Housing Officers). Our job in the JCR is to make sure that everyone is doing okay, and be a source of advice (or just be a friendly face to chat to). You can come to us for information on anything to do with welfare (including sexual health), housing and finances, and we'll do our utmost to help you :)

Balliol College prides itself in having a very large and very sucessful welfare support system. Not only are the pair of us here to help you out, but the Welfare Subcommittee and the Peer supporters are also there, in case you want to talk to them instead. The Welfare Subcommittee consists of the following positions:

• Womens' Officers (Claire Parry and Susie Deedigan)
• Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender officers (Georgina Woodhouse-Hills and JJ Castle)
• Disabled students' officer (David Bagg)
• Academic affairs officer (George Allcroft)
• Ethnic minorities and overseas officers (Anna Torvaldsen and Krista Halttunen)

Good cop/bad cop is a strategy we only use in emergencies
