Concerns from JCRÂ
Felicity – concerned about a pro-life society in Oxford and a big anti-abortion poster on Broad Street.
Callum – can’t do much about that.
Parents dinner reimbursement
Reuben not present to make his case. Callum, Mukund, Adam, Towa (for the 10 seconds for which he is present at the meeting) note that this has never happened before, not something that will change.
Bop clean up
Jade, Avrah, Callum, Zach are doing bop clean up.
Adam – suggests a minimum level of cleanliness.
Callum – defines as all seats back in original position, litter cleared away.
Adam – suggests using mop to clean up big spillages.Â
Minutes for GM
Mukund can’t do it (home for driving test), Avrah volunteered to do it instead.
Meeting with domestic bursar next week
Callum meeting next week, happy to raise any issues.
Garden Party struggling with funding, Amanda strongly against JCR funding Garden Party as this will create precedent to fund Garden Party and Ball year after year. Adam considering fundraising via the bar to raise money for Garden Party.
Post-COVID, JCR had high reserves, so for a few years spent money subsidising these events, College decided this would be the year we stop doing that (or unsustainable as reserves are falling).
